Afternoon Sail. Take a 2 1/2 hour sail aboard an 80-foot, three masted schooner and hoist the sails, raise the trawl net and learn about the ecology and creatures of the Long Island Sound. A touch tank, simulated salt march and educator on board. 2-4:30pm. July 12, 18 and 25. For families with children ages 5 and up. $25. Reservations required. Animalopolis. See this entertaining 32-minute IMAX film, featuring 12 hilarious segments, specially developed for youngsters, with singing lions, bears that waltz, somersaulting sea lions, praying otters, squawking flamingos and more with Seuss-like nursery rhyme narration. 11am, 1 and 3pm daily. Visit this new Science Center in its ‘green,' bright and stimulating environment, see the "Skateboard Challenge" in the Sports Lab and "Build a Better Wind Turbine" in Energy City, learn about global warning in the Climate Change Theater and more. 10am-5pm.
