Going Dutch: A Celebration of Dutch Colonial Food
<p>10am-12noon, Katonah Museum of Art (134 Jay Street, Rte. 22, Katonah). www.katonahmuseum.org Reservations for this free event can be made by calling (914) 232-9555 x0. A workshop for children ages 8 to 12 and accompanying adults. Led by noted food historian Peter G. Rose, the program starts with a lecture and discussion about Dutch colonial food as it relates to New York State history. Later, in the cooking class, children will make authentic Dutch treats, including cookies (yes, there will be butter churning!) This event is funded by the New York Council for the Humanities.</p>
